2022 Program

  • Whitsundays Art Prize Exhibition

    The Whitsundays Arts Festival Art Prize Exhibition will be held at Coral Sea Marina Resort in Airlie Beach from 23-30 September 2022.

  • Handmade Art Markets

    Held annually as part of the Whitsundays Art Festival, the Handmade Art Markets are set amongst music, performance, art and workshops on the water’s edge in the centre of Airlie Beach on Sunday 25 September.

  • Art Workshops

    Get involved in a series of free and ticketed workshops designed as an opportunity to have fun, learn or develop a new skill, network with your community, and create an art piece to take home.

  • Kids Workshops

    Join us for fun, interactive and free workshops for children with illustrator and publisher Sofia Fortunato and award-winning artist Lisa Ashcroft.

  • Whitsundays Songwriter Festival & Residency

    The inaugural Whitsundays Songwriter Festival and Residency will take place, 22 - 26 September at Yangaro Retreat.

    The 3-day Festival and Residency will be comprised of a Residential Retreat, a one day Emerging Songwriters workshop, and a Dinner & Conversation at The Belvedere.

  • Concert & Conversation Dinner

    Enjoy a specially curated 3-course meal at The Belvedere Wine Bar with an amazing line up of singer-songwriters; Karen Jacobsen, Graeme Connors, Francesca de Valence, Bryce Sainty, Tia Gostelow, and LT (Leanne Tennant).

  • Emerging Songwriter Workshop

    Experience a full day being guided and mentored by professional songwriters and discover the foundational and essential songwriting tools that will change the way you write songs and approach music.

  • Film Screenings

    We’re adding the art of cinema to take advantage of the opening of the Proserpine Entertainment Centre. See ‘Celeste’ and ‘Parallel Mothers’ on the big screen, as part of the Mackay International Film Festival.
