Whitsundays Arts Festival & SmartArts Junior Exhibition
SmartArts in conjunction with the Whitsundays Arts Festival Art Prize Exhibition is hosting the ‘Junior Whitsundays Art Exhibition’ to encourage the development of upcoming artists in the Whitsundays region.
All entries will be exhibited at the SmartArts Gallery at 8 Commerce Close, Cannonvale on 17th and 18th of September 2022. The winning artworks from each category will also be displayed at the Whitsundays Arts Festival Art Prize Exhibition at Coral Sea Marina Resort from 23-30th September.

People's Choice Award
All entrants are eligible for the People’s Choice Award.
Prize: Tabletop Easel (valued at $125) plus SmartArts Voucher for $50.
Terms & Conditions

Entries in Section 1-4 can be any subject, in any medium.
Entries in Section 5 “Memories” must respond to the theme ‘Memories’ and can be in any medium.
Winning artworks will be moved to the Whitsundays Arts Festival Arts Prize Exhibition (23-30th September) at Coral Sea Marina Resort and cannot be removed during the Exhibition.

All entries must be delivered to SmartArts, 8 Commerce Close, Cannonvale between 9am Tuesday the 13th September - 5pm Wednesday 14th September. No late entries will be accepted.
Each entry must include: Entry Form, Artwork, Artwork Label (affixed to back of Artwork) and Entry fee of $5.00 per Artwork. There is a maximum of 4 entries per artist.
Each Artwork must be suitably framed and fitted with D Rings and Picture Wire to be ready for hanging. Entries will not be accepted if they do not comply.
Each Artwork must have a label affixed to the back of the Artwork listing your name, address, phone number and Age Section.
Entries will be judged by a suitably qualified Judge appointed by SmartArts. The Judge’s decision in final. All winners will be displayed for 1 week in the adults exhibition at the Coral Sea resort, Airlie Beach.
People’s Choice award will be voted by people visiting the Exhibition on 17th/18th September. Winner will be notified and posted on SmartArts Facebook page on 24th September, 2021.
All Artwork must be available for Sale at the Exhibition. SmartArts will retain 15% commission on any sales.

Any unsold artwork MUST BE collected by 11am, Saturday 24th September, 2022. No artworks are to be removed during the Junior Exhibition.
