Well That’s A Wrap!

We've been reminiscing on the memorable moments of the 2022 Whitsundays Arts Festival.

The 2022 Whitsundays Arts Festival by Hannah Hannon-Worthington.

Whether it was joining professional artists to make and create in our art workshop program, perusing the handmade crafts at the Handmade Art Markets, cheering on Tchundal Malar Aboriginal Dance Group on the foreshore, making a memory with the mandala on the beach, workshopping new songs, watching films, visiting the Exhibition, or beating the drums with Baala Baajo, each element of the Festival reminded us why the arts are so important.

As Elie Wiesel said, “Without memory, there is no culture. Without memory, there would be no civilization, no society, no future.”

These memories of two weeks of all things arts brought together everything we've been working on for so long. And we hope you enjoyed each moment as well.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank each attendee, participant, sponsor, partner, workshop coordinator, and volunteer for making the 2022 Whitsundays Arts Festival the success that it was.
